An Interview with Destiny Greenleaf
Where are you originally from?
Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri
What is the best book you have read this year?
Unfu*ck Yourself by Gary John Bishop. I found this book right before boarding my flight to Iceland. I bought it on a whim, and it ended up changing my perspective on life. At the time, I was going through a lot of significant changes that were becoming overwhelming. The book is about getting out of your head and into your life. It talks a lot about the ways you can change your thought patterns and become more in-the-moment. I highly recommend it for those who love self-help books.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I can usually be found taking my dog Louis to parks, going to concerts, taking mountain drives, brunching on rooftops, playing KanJam with friends, or just binge-watching Netflix at home.
What is the best trip you have ever been on?
Ireland. What an incredible experience. Everything about this trip was a new experience for me, even the women I traveled with. I had been invited along with a group of three others for St. Patrick's Day. So I met them at the airport in Dublin, and the rest was history. We rented a car and drove around the entire country looping back to Dublin for the big parade (which happened to be the 100th anniversary of the uprising). After that, we went up to Northern Ireland and spent a few more days exploring. The countryside was breathtaking, the people were friendly, the weather was sunny (luckily!), and the trip was filled with laughter. It was an incredible experience.
